Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday, 8 November. Dhanteras is on Friday 6 November and Bhai Dooj follows on Tuesday 10 November. That's five days of puja thaals, guests at the door and boxes going out to family. Here's how to plan your mithai, the way Ghaziabad families have planned it with us since 1952.
For the Lakshmi Puja thaal
Laddoos are the classic offering. Motichoor and Jodhpuri dry fruit laddoos are the traditional picks, with Besan and Desi Ghee Chana Badam laddoos close behind. Dry fruit Peda is the other puja favourite: soft, rich and easy to share as prasad.
For guests
When the doorbell keeps ringing, you want a tray that tastes like the festival. Dry fruit Dhodha Burfi, slow-cooked until it turns rich and grainy, and desi ghee Punjabi Patisa, flaky and melt-in-the-mouth, are two Diwali favourites at our counter.
For winter evenings
Diwali also brings the first chill of winter, and with it our Gond Dryfruit Laddoo: desi ghee, gond and dry fruit, made the old way.
What goes into every sweet
Every sweet we make is cooked in pure desi ghee. We have never used palm oil, and we never will. That has been the Loknath standard since 1952, and it's why our mithai costs a little more.
